Marking the Layout
Outline the desired curves or straight lines on the ground using marking paint, a garden hose, or string. Double-check sightlines and sprinkler positions before cutting.
Trenching
Dig a narrow trench along the marked line so that only the top bead of the edging sits above soil level once placed. Keep the trench wall vertical for maximum retention.
Shaping the Edging
Place the edging into the trench and bend it to conform to your garden bed. For sharper angles, score the rear of steel edging slightly or use an external corner connector.
Anchoring
Drive the supplied spikes through the designated holes to lock the position. Space anchors evenly and check the line with a level as you go.
Backfilling
Fill both sides of the edging with soil or mulch and tamp down firmly. Sweep the lawn edge clean for a finished look.
